Automobile accident with an early 1920s era touring car is seen at the side of an unidentified snowy road, possibly near Warren. The left rear tire is flat and rear right side of the car is badly crumpled. Two men and one woman are examining the engine. A little girl is standing on the running board. Undoubtedly some of the people in the picture are members of the Edward T. Britton family. The picture came from the Maude Britton collection via Mrs. Judy Smith, her niece.

Engraving shows the sprawling plant, with a horse drawn wagon and a streetcar passing in front of it. Offices of the business are given as 100 1/2 W Pratt Street, Baltimore, nd 217 Pearl Street, New York.
A cartouche inset shows the four story iron main office of the company at the Pratt sreet address.

Mid-19th century advertisement for Wendell Bollman from a City Directory , a civil and constructing engineer noted for his truss bridges. An engraving in the ad. shows a truss bridge with a Civil War era locomotive about to cross it. The address for Bollman's works was given as Clinton Street and Second Avenue, Canton.

Advertisement from George Howard's "Monumental City 1873" for John Henry Stickney's Iron works, which had been founded in 1862. The Maryland Journal of January 21, 1899 recorded the final closing of the company, which threw some 120 skilled workers and laborers out of work. The advertisement is enhanced by an engraving of the works.
