This flamboyant structure was bounded by Calvert, Fayette, Guilford and Lexington Streets.
It was dedicated in 1889, seven years after the cornerstone was laid. It was demolished in 1930.
This post office replaced Guy's Hotel. The Battle Monument is seen in the middle of Calvert Street.
