Description: "Deep cut at Ellicott City" Photo shows tracks cut through an area of steep solid rock outcropping. The cut bankrupted the Columbia and Maryland Railway before they could complete their trolley line between Catonsville and Ellicott City. Another company finished the job, and trolley service continued until 1955.
